The Call of Duty 4 Demo, anxiously expected by all the fans of the series, has caused a serious outage for Yahoo's servers, but there is nothing official yet. The demo, published yesterday on Yahoo Games was available only for a limited period of time, being then replaced with a 404 error displayed on the download page. The folks from ActionTrip sustain users could only download approximately 30 MB of the 1370 MB file because they were disconnected from the server without any notification.

"The demo was able to be downloaded about an hour or so ago, but, apparently, Yahoo decided they didn't like their servers getting hammered and pulled the link altogether. Those who were downloading were not able to get more than 30MB before the transfer failed," they wrote.

At this time, the Yahoo Call of Duty 4 Demo page is still available, providing all sorts of details about the game such as required specs and download information. "Due to this content containing mature subject matter, age verification is required. Please sign in to your Yahoo! account to complete the process. Age restrictions vary by region," it is mentioned on the page. After signing in and clicking on the download link you'll see an unexpected 404 Not Found Error.

"Sorry, the page you requested was not found. Please check the URL for proper spelling and capitalization. If you're having trouble locating a destination on Yahoo!, try visiting the Yahoo! home page or look through a list of Yahoo!'s online services. Also, you may find what you're looking for if you try searching below," the error displayed by Yahoo reads.

Obviously, you can download the Call Of Duty 4 Demo straight from Softpedia's games section available here. In addition, you can read more information about the demo in this article.
