The 36-year old developer has been hit by a car while he was riding his bike

Seth Vidal, a Fedora Project Board member and lead developer of the Yum software package, has been killed in a hit-and-run accident.

The Fedora developer has been killed in Durham, North Carolina, while he was riding his bicycle. According to a wral.com report, Seth was hit Monday night by a dark color sedan, on Hillandale Road near Interstate 85.

The investigators arriving at the scene have said that the car has swerved briefly before hitting the rider from behind and running away. When he arrived at the hospital, Seth Vidal was pronounced dead.
