An updated version of the YellowPages.com iPhone app – YPmobile – is now available on the App Store, according to AT&T Interactive. In addition to search and usability enhancements, updated features include Tuning into Video Profiles, as well as Pay-Per-Call ads.

With the ability to tune into Video Profiles, business video profiles are now easily accessible from the YPmobile app. Citing research firm Nielsen, AT&T Interactive reveals that 37 percent of iPhone owners watch video on their phone and are six times as likely to view video compared with the typical, wireless subscriber. As for Pay-Per-Call ads, the opportunity to be featured with ads displayed at the top of relevant business search results is now available for AT&T Interactive’s Pay Per Call advertisers, according to the official report.

AT&T Interactive, a subsidiary of AT&T Inc., creates local search products and services that empower consumers to find and connect with businesses across the devices and interactive platforms they use the most. The company’s Matt Crowley, chief marketing officer, had this to say in light of the new release:

“Our YPmobile App for iPhone and iPod touch continues to evolve as the flagship in our mobile local search line up. Enhancing usability and extending our online video ads and Pay Per Call® distribution creates more advertiser value in a way that is not obtrusive and delivers valuable content for users.” “Our Pay Per Call® advertising is a natural fit for the mobile search experience and appeals to the millions of businesses who want to drive phone calls across all types of media. It all comes together as part of AT&T Interactive’s ongoing mission to make discovery and connection, between consumers and the businesses they need, even easier when mobile,” Matt Crowley concluded.
