YA Edition Laptops from MSI Released

Rich features coupled with unique design lines

While the drab looking mobile computer system that is only centered on the technical specifications of its hardware architecture is steadily losing ground, a new breed of laptops and notebooks comes to play and all of them are cheerfully painted and designed to underline the user's personality and tastes. Anticipating this new trend in the mobile computing market segment, MSI Computer Corporation launched a new line of laptops which come sporting 12 inch widescreens, the PR210 YA Edition machines.

MSI family of products come with distinctive design lines and they are also available in vibrant color finishings such as Denim Blue, Coral Pink and Lime Green. ''The PR210 YA Edition laptop offers consumers a fresh way to compute,'' said Daniel Wang, general manager of MSI USA. ''Featuring outstanding technical specifications, a vivid color palette and a chic design, this laptop offers consumers a way to stand out from the crowd and express their individual flair.''

Apart from a neat looking design, the new laptops from the PR210 YA Edition family also come with great functionality and security features like the integrated fingerprint reader that is used to lock the machine when the user is absent. In order to provide the clearest and the most intricate images, the PR210 YA Edition integrates the MSI Amazing Crystal Vision technology coupled with High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI for short) for rich multimedia experiences.

On the hardware side, the MSI PR210 YA Edition machines are based on an Advanced Micro Devices mobile computing platform which is powered by the AMD Athlon 64 X2 Mobile TK-53 dual core central processing unit that runs at a frequency of 1.7GHz. For the highest level of computer power, 1GB of DDR2 random access memory is provided as a standard and users may later choose to upgrade it as needed. The 12 inch widescreen display is backed up by the presence of a discrete graphics card based on the ATI Radeon Xpress 1270.

The data storage department is well represented by the presence of a Serial ATA II hard disk drive that comes with a standard 120Gb capacity and the new laptop line also integrates an optical disc drive compatible with the Super Multi format. As wireless network connectivity is becoming very popular, MSI included an 802.11 b / g compatible card as well as an Ethernet wired network interface. As the new laptops also come with Bluetooth, their connectivity options are covering a very wide range.

On the Web and multimedia side, a built-in 1.3 megapixel Webcam is also present, together with an intelligent directional microphone and a four-in-one card reader. All MSI laptops from this new family line are delivered with Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium operating system pre-installed.
