Canonical has announced the final version of Xubuntu 13.04 (Raring Ringtail) operating system is now officially available for download.

Unlike its big brother, Ubuntu 13.04, Xubuntu doesn't have a lot of new features. Besides the obvious kernel change, just a few updates have been implemented.

Highlights of Xubuntu 13.04 (Raring Ringtail):

• Gnumeric and GIMP have been added in the ISO; • Catfish has been updated to version 0.6.1; • Parole has been updated to version 0.5.0; • The Greybird theme has been updated; • Duplicate partitions are no longer shown on desktop or Thunar.

More details about this release can be found in the official announcement. Starting from 13.04, the Xubuntu images will not fit on standard CDs any more. To install Xubuntu, you will need other media such as a USB device or a DVD.

Download Xubuntu 13.04 (Raring Ringtail) right now from Softpedia.
