Xubuntu 13.04 Daily Build Released, Based on Linux Kernel 3.5.0.17.19

Canonical has announced today, November 7, the first daily build version of the upcoming Xubuntu 13.04 (Raring Ringtail) operating system.

The information about Xubuntu 13.04 (Raring Ringtail) is sketchy at best, but there are some limited details about the packages that were included in the distribution.

Highlights of Xubuntu 13.04 Daily Build (November 7):

• Abiword has been updated to version 2.9.2;
• Mozilla Firefox has been updated to version 17.0 Beta 4;
• Linux kernel has been updated to version 3.5.0.17.19;
• Pidgin messenger has been updated to version 2.10.6;
• Mozilla Thunderbird has been updated to version 17.0 Beta 2.

The daily build of Xubuntu 13.04 (Raring Ringtail) can be found on the official Canonical website. Remember that this is a development release and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended to be used for testing purposes only.

The installer seems broken so installing it on a production machine shouldn't be a problem.

Abiword did not update; it has been that crappy version since 12.04...
