Canonical has announced the second Beta of the upcoming Xubuntu 13.04 (Raring Ringtail) operating system.

Xubuntu 13.04 (Raring Ringtail) Beta 2 has been rather shy, and as of yet there aren't too many details about this release.

Highlights of Xubuntu 13.04 Beta 2 (Raring Ringtail):

• The official documentation was finally updated to reflect the 13.04 designation; • A new version of Catfish has been added, 0.6.1, which brings numerous fixes; • More updates for the Greybird theme have been implemented.

More details about this release can be found in the official announcement. Starting from 13.04, the Xubuntu images will not fit on standard CDs any more. To install Xubuntu, you will need other media such as a USB device or a DVD.

Download Xubuntu 13.04 (Raring Ringtail) Beta 2 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development release and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended to be used for testing purposes only.
