Canonical has announced that Xubuntu 12.10 Beta 2 (Quantal Quetzal) is available for download and it includes a few important changes.
The Xubuntu developers have decided to skip the previous beta, but this time they've managed to provide a version for testing, albeit they had to drop the alternate images.
[admark=1]Highlights of Xubuntu 12.10 Beta 2 (Quantal Quetzal):
• The artwork has been updated, including a new wallpaper; • LightDM has also been updated; • Greybird and Ubiquity slideshow have been added; • The offline documentation has been completely reviewed and rewritten; • New versions of Catfish and Parole have been implemented • No more window traces or “black on black” in installer; • The distribution now fits on a 700 MB CD.
