Xperia neo V is a downgraded version of the Xperia neo. The phones are similar when it comes to design and hardware configuration with the exception of the camera.
While the Xperia neo V sports a 5-megapixel camera, the original Xperia neo comes with a superior 8-megapixel camera with LED flash, autofocus, face and smile detection and HD (720p) video recording capabilities. Each smartphone packs a secondary VGA front facing camera for video calls.
Just like the original, Xperia neo V is powered by Google's Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread operating system with Timescape UI on top.
Furthermore, the handset has a 3.7-inch LED-backlit LCD capacitive touchscreen, which is based on Sony Mobile BRAVIA Engine and features scratch-resistant surface.
With only 320 MB storage and 512 MB of RAM, users might want to purchase an additional microSD memory card for memory expansion (up to 32GB). However, the phone is delivered with a free 2GB memory card in the sales package.
