Japanese mobile phone maker Sony Mobile is gearing up for the market release of its Xperia ZL smartphone, after pushing its Xperia Z sibling to shelves last week, and more signs of that have emerged.

The smartphone has been spotted in the PC Companion and the Sony Update Service (SUS), which suggests that the launch is only weeks away, XperiaBlog reports.

For the time being, however, only one flavor of the handset was listed in Sony’s app and service, though there are three different versions, two featuring LTE connectivity (C6503, C6506), and one packing HSPA+ capabilities inside (C6502). Xperia ZL will arrive on shelves with the same features as the Xperia Z. However, it is not waterproof; it sports a smaller body and a dedicated camera button, as well as infra-red blaster.
