Users can not change the volume or answer phone calls with the headset

Xperia Z1, the latest flagship Android-based smartphone from Sony Mobile, is reportedly suffering from a series of issues with its headset.

According to a recent post on XperiaBlog, users in Europe are complaining about problems that emerge when trying to pair the smartphone with the Sony MH1c headset. The two are bundled in some markets.

Based on users’ reports, it appears that the Smart Connect notification appears when pressing the button of the headset, which prevents users from changing the volume or answering phone calls.

Furthermore, other headsets are displaying a similar behavior, though it’s uncertain how widespread the problem is.

Chances are that Sony is already aware of the issue and that it will come up with a fix for this in the not too distant future, though no official statement on this has been made as of now.
