Apparently, Telstra won’t be the only wireless carrier in Australia set to bring the new Sony Xperia Z smartphone to shelves in the country.

Sony has partnered with three major operators in that market for the launch, and the device will land at them in March (no names were provided, but he might have been referring to Telstra, Optus and Vodafone).

The info comes from Sony Mobile Oceania’s John Featherstone, who shared these details with Gizmodo Australia at the 2013 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

Furthermore, he confirmed that most of Sony’s handsets for 2013 would arrive on shelves with support for 4G connectivity, which should make a lot of users happy.

Unfortunately, no specific details on the release date of Xperia Z were provided as of now, nor on the price tag it might feature when made available for purchase.
