Xperia Z, Sony’s new flagship Android-based smartphone, is set to arrive on shelves before the end of this quarter with a nice range of high-end capabilities packed inside.

The device was made official at the 2013 Consumer Electronics Show with a 5-inch full HD screen, a quad-core CPU and 2GB of RAM, and a 13MP camera on the back, and has already been benchmarked at the event.

Running under Google’s Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system, the handset scored 14245 in AnTuTu, as the video embedded above, available courtesy of Wireless Goodness, shows.

Xperia Z (C6603) performed lower than high-end rivals out there, such as Galaxy S III or Nexus 4, it seems, but its score is still pretty decent, showing that users will be able to take advantage of great performance capabilities on it.
