Xperia Z, the new flagship Android-based smartphone from Sony Mobile, has been available for pre-order in the UK since about two weeks ago, just after being officially launched, and it seems that the current deal on it has sweetened a bit.

Clove UK, which listed the smartphone as available for pre-order with a price tag of £528 ($850 / €650) or at £440 ($707 / €540) without VAT, has added a free wireless speaker to the deal, to make it even more appealing than before.

Furthermore, the company has cut the device’s price tag to £522 ($828 / €622), or £435 ($690 / €518) without VAT. Said free Sony SRS-BTV5 wireless speaker is worth £65 ($103 / €77), VAT included.

The promotion applies to all Xperia Z devices that will be pre-ordered moving forth, as long as supplies last, and is also available to those who have already reserved the device.

“If you have already pre-ordered you will automatically get the discount applied and the FREE speaker included,” the retailer announced.

“Offer available whilst stock lasts – limited stock available. Clove will endeavor to supply black speaker with orders for a black device and white speaker with white device, but this is not guaranteed. Clove reserve the right to end promotion/offer at any time without notice. No cash alternative.”

Given the fact that this is a limited promotion, users should consider placing orders for the smartphone as soon as possible, to ensure that they will indeed be able to take advantage of it.

Xperia Z was made official in early January at CES 2013 in Las Vegas with a large 5-inch full HD touchscreen display on the front, and with a quad-core processor packed inside.

The handset also comes to the market with 2GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back, front camera for making video calls, and Google’s Android 4.1 Jelly Bean platform loaded on top.
