There are no details on when it might land on the market

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini, one of the three handsets the mobile-phone maker launched on the market with Google's Android operating system on board, has just received the necessary approvals from FCC. The handset spotted in FCC's courtyard comes with European-friendly bands, it seems, and is said to be different from the device previously reported to be on its way to Canada.

The smaller Xperia X10 was announced officially back in February, when Sony Ericsson unveiled two Android-based mobile phones, namely the Xperia X10 Mini and X10 Mini Pro, both included in the same lineup as the Xperia X10, which was introduced officially in November 2009. Unfortunately, it seems that the handset that received FCC clearance is not aimed for use on the US market, as it boasts only 3G connectivity options compatible with European standards.

No info on when or where the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini will be released emerged up to this moment, yet these details might surface in the near future. Considering the fact that it is a GSM device, some suggested that it might land on AT&T or T-Mobile in the US, though there is no confirmation of the move.

It's a common fact that Sony Ericsson brought its Xperia X10 to the Canadian market, and one might imagine that the plan was to have it available in the US too. Since both the Xperia X10 Mini and X10 Mini Pro are expected to make an appearance on the Canadian market this year, it is possible for all three of them to hit the shelves beyond the South boarder too, offering US users the possibility to enjoy three appealing phones based on the Android platform.

Until specific details on Xperia X10 Mini's launch, or on its brothers, emerge, one should have a look at the video ad below, so as to see how a small device can make one’s fingers dance.
