Wireless carrier T-Mobile UK seems set to deliver a new series of high-end mobile phones to its users, and it has already started the move with the launch of BlackBerry Storm 2 9520 on its airwaves, which will soon be accompanied by another appealing touchscreen device, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10. We already knew that the company plans on adding the handset to its offering, and now it has taken one more step towards making it available for purchase.

The Xperia X10, as most of you might know, is the first mobile phone Sony Ericsson launched on the market with Google's Android operating system on board. Packed with the Android 1.6 platform inside, the handset boasts a large touchscreen display, an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, and a very appealing user interface, able to attract a lot of users on its side, that's for sure.

T-Mobile UK already lists the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 on its website, though in the Coming soon section, and invites users to register for receiving updates on when the gadget will become available for purchase. All those interested in putting their hands on a device that includes a 1GHz Snapdragon processor inside, capable of delivering super quick navigation, and 1GB of internal memory, coupled with a memory card slot for additional storage space (an 8GB card in box), should head to the carrier's website here to register.

According to some of the latest news around the Internet, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 might be on its way to land on the market as soon as April is here, though there are also chances that it will arrive sooner than that. Moreover, its maker announced that the handset is upgradeable to newer flavors of the Android operating system, and, even if it hasn't provided a time frame for the updates, one should expect for Xperia X10 to taste Android 2.0 or 2.1 in the not too distant future.
