Wireless carrier NTT DoCoMo was rumored recently to plan the launch of a tablet PC coming from Sony Mobile, and it seems that it might have confirmed it for an official unveiling on January 22.

The new device, supposedly called Sony Xperia Tablet Z (SO-03E), is expected to be unveiled on that day along with the entire spring lineup of NTT DoCoMo.

A recent post on the “docomo smartphone lounge,” suggested to be related to the Japanese wireless services provider, notes that the slate will indeed be formally introduced on that day.

While no official confirmation on the matter has been provided as of now, it seems that the Xperia Tablet Z will join Xperia Z and other devices in being showed to users between January 23 and January 27.

The carrier has already confirmed that it would showcase new products on January 22, but it hasn’t detailed any of them.
