Sony Xperia SP is definitely very close to receiving the highly anticipated Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update. Although it should have been available since last month, Sony's engineers are still working on the update possibly due to some unforeseen issues.

Yesterday, we reported that another Android 4.3 build for Xperia SP had been certified at PTCRB, which was an indication that the previous version was affected by some bugs that needed to be ironed out.

Today, XperiaBlog publishes the first Android 4.3 Jelly Bean screenshots taken from a Sony Xperia SP, which proves that the update is almost ready to be deployed.

The screenshots have been leaked courtesy of XDA Developer contributor DooMLoRD, who claims that this is the final version of the update and that Xperia SP owners should start receiving it soon.

From the leaked screenshots, one can see that the update will bring some new apps to Xperia SP, including Social camera apps, Xperia Themes, as well as Xperia Z1's home launcher.
