Owners of a Sony Xperia S smartphone on the network of Swedish wireless carrier Three will be able to grab the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS upgrade for their devices as soon as next week, the company notes on its website.

A recent post on the carrier’s website notes that the Jelly Bean update will be available for Xperia S devices starting with week 17, which means that it could drop anytime starting with April 22, as XperiaBlog notes.

Recently, the update was confirmed in France for May, but it seems that Sony might be set to begin deploying it sooner than that, although no specific release date has been officially confirmed until now.

However, XperiaBlog also notes that unbranded Xperia S devices in Sweden might receive the update in the following days as well, since they usually taste it before carrier-branded models.
