Sony Mobile has made three of its latest Android-based smartphones available for purchase in the United States unlocked and SIM free, namely the Xperia S, Xperia P and Xperia sola.
The company did promise a while ago that it would make the move, to provide users in the country with the possibility to take advantage of what these devices have to offer, and it has kept its word.
Those users who would like to grab a new Xperia handset
without committing to a contract agreement with one of the US carriers can now head over to Sony’s website for that, or can go at third-party retailers to make the purchase.
All three devices are currently listed on Newegg, for example, and all three feature price tags lower than those available at Sony.
Xperia P, for example, is available through Sony’s website
at $479.99 (€392
), but those who will head over to Newegg
will be able to grab it for only $388.99 (€317
The Sony Xperia S is listed
on the retailer’s website with a price tag of $469.99 (€
383) attached to it, while the Xperia sola goes
for $299.99 (€
Users looking for the acquisition of any of these should know that there are various color options available for them, depending on the actual handset they choose to buy.
