The Xperia Play, aka the PlayStation Phone, has received a few more details today, including what games will be available at the launch for the new mobile phone from Gameloft and how downloading new titles from the PlayStation Suite will work.

The Xperia Play was finally revealed yesterday, with Sony Ericsson showing the closest thing we'll ever going to get to a PlayStation Phone.

We already know that it will come with five pre-installed games, Asphalt 6: Adrenaline, Bruce Lee, Star Battalion, The Sims 3, and Tetris.

Now, French mobile games company Gameloft decided to unveil some of the other titles it's going to release for the Xperia Play.

Besides the pre-installed Asphalt 6: Adrenaline and Star Battalion, eight other titles will also be available for download when the mobile phone will be released.

Among them, we have some of the company's best-selling games, including Assassin's Creed, UNO, Let's Golf! 2, Spider-Man: Total Mayhem, Modern Combat: Black Pegasus, Real Football 2011, Brothers in Arms 2 and Splinter Cell: Conviction.

The company also endorsed the new phone publicly, through the voice of Michel Guillemot, president of Gameloft.

"I created Gameloft 10 years ago with the goal of bringing video games to all audiences," said Guillemot. "The launch of the Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY, certified by PlayStation, the first full-featured smartphone to include an exclusive gaming interface, means my initial goal can now become a reality. The controls on the Xperia PLAY enhance the gaming experience beautifully."

But while this is great news for people who already decided to purchase the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, one of the company's executive directors revealed that those who already had downloadable PlayStation 1 or PlayStation Portable games tied to their PlayStation Network account would have to buy them again.

"[Xperia Play owners] will have to repurchase the games, so it's not totally integrated," Vautier, executive director at Sony Ericsson, told Gamespot UK. "I think the exciting thing is that there are games which people are very, very aware of."

So, even if you bought other games for devices like the PSP, you're going to have to buy them once more if you want to access them on the Xperia Play. Is this a minor inconvenience or a deal breaker for you?
