Another piece of news goes to the guitar players across the world. Since you are involved in the guitar world somehow (it really makes no difference
in what way are you connected with guitars) you all should nod your heads in respect as you hear the name Ibanez.
"The Hoshino Lounge" is one of the world's greatest guitar manufacturers for both of the industry's ends, the entry-level, absolute beginner, one-hundred-dollar guitars; and the top-shelf, custom engineered, 8-strings, heap-of-money, signature models. Names like Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Paul Gilbert (remember Mister Big's Wild World?) they all play on Ibanez. Funny how some of the planet's most innovative guitarists have chosen this brand... this should make non-Ibanez people think...
Ibanez has been producing axes for rock mostly; and as from rock to metal the road is quite short, Ibanez made it in an instant. Namely, after the entire year they were in business and watched half a metal planet play Ibanez guitars, the manufacturers (many of them metalheads and/or metal players as well) decided it was high time they built a metal-dedicated axe; and so the Xiphos was born.
Xiphos has all it needs to be a bestseller and an excellent guitar as well: a mahogany body with a maple neck (through body), DiMarzio Activator pickups and an Edge 3 tremolo system. DiMarzio pickups have been chosen not only because they are Ibanez's long time partner but also because the specific Activator series has been especially designed by Larry DiMarzio for the Xiphos model. High output (470mV-bridge and 385mV- neck) of an active pickup yet with passive circuitry ensure a very resounding yet strong and definite response.
The low-profile Edge III bridge ensures a very relaxed and close to the strings position while at the same time offering extensive possibilities for creative soloists, while the Wizard II maple neck will make playing the Xiphos an amazing experience.
Finally, Ibanez made a drastic change in what the shape is concerned: not only the standard reverse headstock (previously a thing reserved for custom-made axes), but especially the body, are completely new.
Xiphos has the shape of a large X, asymmetrically designed, looking aggressive as hell itself and full of almost cutting edges guitar: looking like a cousin of the Jackson Warrior, the new metal guitar from Ibanez will surely be seen a lot on stages as it can be bought for a very affordable price of roughly 700 Euro (in Europe). Metal on!
