Xigmatek has just tackled a product type that it didn't deal in before, so it made sure to be particularly outspoken about it when making the official announcement.

The company has just introduced the Gigas Micro-ATX Cube, which measures 278 x 396 x 322 mm (W x H x D), or 10.94 x 15.59 x 12.67 inches.

It is the sort of case that will not support overly large motherboards (only ITX / micro ATX fit), but will have no trouble allowing for high-end hardware to be placed inside it.

Thus, even though the main purpose is to act as a suitable HTPC home (home-theater personal computer), it should be just as easy to make a gaming system with it.

On that note, the maximum graphics card length is 350mm (12.77 inches).

Moving on, there are two 5.25-inch drive bays available, along with a pair of 2.5-inch bays and no less than six 3.5-inch bays on the inside.

With that covering the storage aspect, Xigmatek also provides two fans of 120mm in diameter and with a rotary speed of 1,000 RPM.

These spinners are installed at the front, but there is room for two more of them at the back.

Furthermore, the I/O panel at the front has a fairly atypical shape: instead of being a thin strip underneath the ODD bays, it is a square placed next to them.

There are two USB 2.0 ports available, along with one USB 3.0 connector and audio in/out.

Other specifications include four expansion slots, a brushed aluminum exterior and the “Mono Cool” fan controller. Some may already know of it from the Midgard cases.

All in all, the Xigmatek Gigas Micro-ATX Cube Case is a compact item that can hold a significant amount of power.

Even if it is never going to be capable of the exact same multi-GPU and overclocking feats that tower cases allow, it permits for systems to be built with more than enough prowess to breeze through even the most demanding of games.

Caseking.de will ship it around the end of March, for 109.90 Euro ($144.24).
