The new desktop case that Xigmatek put together is not yet available. Although orders can already be placed through Caseking.de, shipments won't begin until November 30, 2012.

Being a mid-tower, the enclosure can house mini-ITX, micro-ATX and full ATX motherboards.

There really isn't much that qualifies as unusual about it, other than the several color options for the front mesh (orange, silver and black).

That said, three 5.25-inch drive bays are present (optical drives, fan controllers, etc.), along with four 2.5-inch bays (SSDs, very small HDDs) and four 3.5-inch compartments (normal HDDs or hybrid drives).

As for the I/o panel, it sits at the top of the computer case. Two USB 3.0 ports are found there, along with audio connectors.

The price demanded by Xigmatek for the Alfer, as the chassis is called, is 49.90 Euro / $49.90 – 64.
