One might say that, if anything, Xigmatek succeeded in creating the largest gaming PC enclosure in the world, large enough to house even the most massive motherboards on the market, those that only test benches can cope with, usually.

The size of someone's PC enclosure has some bearing on the actual performance level that can be achieved.

This is because the amount of room on the inside determines what sort of motherboards are supported, as well as how large a video card, or more, one can put in.

That said, there are many form factors, from SFF (small form factor) to mid-tower and full tower, with big tower towering (pun intended) above them all.

Xigmatek figured it was time to unleash a big tower capable of housing even a certain monster known as the EVGA Classified SR-2, a motherboard with two CPU sockets and the HPTX form factor.

Dubbed Elysium, it measures a full 230 x 618 x 663 mm and might very well be the physically largest gaming case in the entire world.

There are no less than 12 external 5.25-inch drive bays, meaning that a bunch of ODDs (optical disk drives) and other things (like fan controllers) can be placed in it.

The inside has eight 3.5-inch HDD bays, as well as a 2.5-inch tray for SSDs or smaller HDDs.

What's more, Xigmatec provided 10 PCI slots, more than even the number of PCI Express slots the aforementioned SR-2 comes with (seven).

There are also seven pre-drilled holes, for watercooling, on the back panel, and there is even enough room for two PSUs instead of just one.

These all, plus several fans (two 120mm, one 140mm and a 200mm one), as well as a built-in SATA dock and a top-placed I/O panel (eSATA, USB 2.0, USB 3.0 and audio) complete the creature.

The Xigmatec Elysium big tower PC enclosure has already been listed in two colors, those being black and silver. The price is of 159.90 Euro, while the versions with side windows go for 169.90 Euro.
