The mythical Xiaomi tablet returns to the rumor mill, after a few weeks of being absent from it. Not so long ago, we told you the MiPad tablet might arrive in May.

The tablet’s release date has been changed so frequently, it’s quite hard to even keep taps. Anyway, it appears Xioami is gearing up for something special, due on April 23. Could we finally see the tablet being launched?

The company posted the above picture on the popular social media website Weibo, giving customers the heads-up that something juicy is coming their way, reports GizChina.

We don’t get to see the entire device, because it is photographed from the side. Nevertheless, the product showed in the image seems reminiscent of the Apple Magic Trackpad, but knowing Xioami is not in the business of making PC accessories, it’s no doubt we’re talking about a tablet.

Could the mighty Xiaomi possibly have taken design cues from the Lenovo Yoga tablet, the slate that comes with a build-in kickstand and allows users to use it in three different modes “hold, tilt and stand”? If so, the tablet should come with a pretty hefty battery life.

The only problem is that previous leaks have shown the Xiaomi tablet devoid of any hinge-cum-handle reminiscent of the Lenovo Yoga. So maybe Xiaomi has not one, but two slates ready for launch. What do you think?
