Chinese mobile phone maker Xiaomi has decided to provide some more info on the number of Xiaomi Mi3 devices that will be available for purchase in India on August 15, confirming that 15,000 units will be put up for grabs on that day.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the mobile phone was released in India in mid-July, but that the first stock was depleted in a matter of minutes.

Xiaomi put the phone up for sale once again on July 29, but only to see it sold out in a few seconds, as the official announcement revealed.

While no specific details on how many phones were available for purchase during said flash-sale day have been provided, Xiaomi did confirm earlier this week that it sold 20,000 Mi3 devices in India so far.

On August 5, users in India will be able to grab the Xiaomi Mi3 once again, though not all those interested in it will be able to do so.

According to the Chinese vendor, more than 100,000 users have already expressed their interest in the handset so far, which means that the next stock will be depleted very fast too.

However, the fact that 15,000 Mi3 units will be available next week shows that Xiaomi is trying to meet demand for its flagship phone, and that things might get even better moving forth.

The same as before, Xiaomi Mi3 will be available for purchase through online retailer Flipkart, and users interested in it can already head over to the company’s website to register for it.

The smartphone features a price tag of Rs. 13,999 ($230 / €175) SIM-free, yet its hardware specs are far above those of mid-range phones available at similar price tags.

The mobile phone features a 5-inch IPS LCD touchscreen display that can deliver a full HD (1080p) resolution at a 441ppi (pixels per inch) density.

The handset is powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 CPU with Adreno 330 graphics and 2GB of RAM, which should deliver great performance capabilities at all times.

Moreover, the device sports 16GB/64GB of internal memory and a 13-megapixel camera on the back, with dual-LED flash and full HD video recording, complemented by a 2MP front camera for making video calls while on the go.

Xiaomi Mi3 sports the handset vendor’s own MIUI user interface loaded on top, which is based on the Android KitKat operating system. It also includes the usual set of connectivity capabilities and is powered by a 3050mAh battery.
