Yesterday, Chinese mobile phone maker Xiaomi held a sale in China as part of the Singles Day celebration, and managed to top charts with its success.

At 12.30 AM on November 11, Xiaomi started selling three of its smartphones, namely the Xiaomi Mi3, Hongmi, and Mi2s. The company had a total of 330,000 phones in stock, 110,000 of each of the three.

Three minutes later, the company had no more Xiaomi Mi3 and Hongmi units to sell, techinasia reports. This brought the company over RMB 107 million ($17.56 million / €13.12 million) in sales revenue.

It also allowed the vendor to pass the RMB 300 million ($49.25 million / €36.79 million) in revenue mark in less than an hour.

Within a few hours, the company sold out all the devices that it had planned to offer, including the aforementioned 110,000 Mi2s smartphones and 50,000 set-top boxes.
