Apple is no stranger to the competition mocking its products. Microsoft, Samsung, ASUS and others have all tried to make the Cupertino tech giant look bad, pointing out numerous times the iPhone or iPads shortcomings.

When Apple rolled out its latest iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus models, one thing people couldn't stop talking about was the protruding camera on the back, a side-effect of Cupertino trying to slim the handset down as much as it could.

Well, a few months later Apple’s protruding camera is still a great subject for mockery. And Xiaomi which just launched its flagship, the Mi Note last week is taking a dab at it too.

Xiaomi attacks Apple in its latest video

The Mi Note is quite sleek and Xiaomi has managed to make it even thinner than the iPhone 6 Plus, which is coming at 7.1 mm / 0.28 inches, as opposed to the Note’s 6.95 mm / 0.27 inches.

What’s more, Xiaomi has managed to slip in a 13MP Sony camera with f/2.0 lens (most likely the IMX214) with optical stabilization and dual tone LED flash, without making it protruding.

And that’s exactly the topic of Xioami’s latest video, which is guest starring the company’s co-founder Bin Lin. In it we’re shown Xiaomi employees trying to flatten the iPhone 6 Plus’ camera with a frying pan.

While they are doing this, the iPhone 6 Plus magically turns into the sleek Mi Note phablet. Sadly, the video is narrated in Chinese, so most likely you won’t fall out of your chair laughing. However, the video received a lot of positive feedback when it was presented in the country during the Mi Note launch event.

Xiaomi’s latest flagship was introduced with a 5.7-inch full HD display (1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and 387 ppi) and a Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5GHz working side-by-side with an Adreno 330 GPU and 3GB of RAM.

The phablet is currently up for pre-order in China for $371 / €314.
