After supposedly showing its face in a teaser image posted by Xiaomi yesterday, more photos of the mythical MiPad tablet have leaked online.

Yesterday I told you, popular smartphone maker, Xiaomi posted a mysterious photograph on the social media website Weibo.

In it, we got to see a device reminiscent of the Apple Magic Trackpad, but since Xiaomi is not known of being in the business of making PC accessories, we ended up speculating this was probably the mythical MiPad tablet that has been in the rumor mill for so long.

Puzzling, the slate seemed to boast a white design and boast a complexion that brought Lenovo Yoga 8 tablet vibes. The Yoga’s characteristic is the build-in kickstand that allows users to position the slate in three different modes.

Anyway, a few hours after the picture we mentioned made its way into the wild, another set of images showed up, supposedly depicting the same slate (via GizChina).

But this time, they were showing a black tablet and the hinge-cum-handle characteristic of the Lenovo Yoga tablet was absent. If anything, the purported MiPad looks like an iPad mini with a soft touch back.

The most recent leaks claimed Xiaomi’s first tablet will arrive into the world with a metallic design. Apart from that, the tablet is expected to arrive with a form factor similar to the iPad mini, so a 7.9-inch screen with 720p.

Under the hood, Xiaomi is rumored to be placing a Snapdragon 400 processor fitted with Adreno GPU, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.

The slate will also offer the 4G LTE option, but disappointingly enough, the MiPad is said to arrive with Android 4.3 out of the box, as opposed to Android 4.4. KitKat.

Anyway, we advise you take this information with a grain of salt, because the rumors prophesying the arrival of the tablet are pretty diverse.

At some point, it was speculated that the tablet will come bundling a pretty awesome IGZO display, as the technology was getting more and more spread.

The slate was also said to have a 7-inch screen and run on a quad-core MediaTek MT8125 CPU clocked at 1.5GHz. Other possible specifications included a 13MP camera (capable of recording video in 1080p).

We also heard the tablet might arrive with a massive 9.2-inch display and a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Judging by the render that leaked online at some point, the Xiaomi tablet might end up being offered in multiple colors, apart from the classic black we see in most tablets these days.
