Chinese OEM Xiaomi is expected to launch its next flagship smartphone sometime in November. Mentions of a sequel to Mi4 have already appeared in several official documents that leaked a few weeks ago.

In fact, Xiaomi's entire 2015 roadmap popped up online earlier this month, and the Mi5 is confirmed to arrive sometime in November.

The document leaked online also offered some details on the Xiaomi Mi5 specs like display and processor.

Well, it looks like things have just changed for Xiaomi, as the company plans to improve its upcoming flagship smartphone with more powerful specs.

For example, instead of the rumored 5.2-inch display, a new report coming from China claims Xiaomi Mi5 will in fact boast a larger 5.5-inch Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolutions display.

The smartphone will be made of plastic, but it will feature metallic frames. Still, the final design is still in the works so changes might occur by the time the smartphone is unveiled.

On the inside, Xiaomi Mi5 will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, which has yet to be officially introduced by the chipset maker.

More than one Mi5 model might be announced

As for the amount of memory, the Mi5 will be a beast. Although the previous leaks could not confirm how much RAM it will boast, it looks like the smartphone will be packed with no less than 4GB of RAM.

Xiaomi is expected to launch at least two Mi5 variants with 16GB and 64GB of internal memory. Since the company publicly stated that it's against microSD card slots in flagship smartphones, we doubt the Mi5 will pack one.

There's no word on the main camera, but Xiaomi will probably have to choose between a 16- or 20-megapixel photo snapper with Sony sensor.

Last but not least, the same source claims that Xiaomi might also launch a 6-inch Plus variant around the same time.
