There’s less than an hour left until Xiaomi and Flipkart are scheduled to kick off the fifth flash sale of the Mi3 Android smartphone in India. The last four flash sales ended in less than an hour since the smartphone was put on sale, while the last two ended in just a few seconds.

Judging by the huge interest in purchasing the Xiaomi Mi3, we estimate this flash sale will end in under 5 seconds, just like the last two. The Mi3 will be available exclusively from Flipkart beginning 2PM IST and only customers who registered until August 18 can take part in the sale.

The last two sales there were no less than 150,000 people registered and today is no exception, which is why we think the smartphone will be sold out in a matter of seconds.

According to Xiaomi, Flipkart will have no less than 20,000 Mi3 units in stock when the flash sale starts in less than an hour. While the number may seem high at a first glance, in reality, it’s very small in comparison with the number of registrations.

Xiaomi Mi3 is available in India for only Rs 13,999 ($230 / €170) outright and those who register for the flash sale only need to put the unit in the cart to secure their order. Customers who successfully put the Mi3 in their carts can pay for it later.

We expect Xiaomi to announce the sixth flash sale of the Mi3 soon after the 20,000 units will be sold out today. There’s a high chance that the Chinese company will bring another 20,000 Mi3 devices in India next Tuesday, so stay tuned for more details on this one.

For those unaware, Xiaomi Mi3 is high-end smartphone that runs Android 4.4 KitKat operating system out of the box with MIUI 5 on top.

The handset is equipped with a powerful 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, an Adreno 330 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.

Xiaomi only brought the 16GB version of Mi3 in India, but the Chinese company also launched a 64GB model which was only briefly available in the Mainland. The bad news is that Xiaomi Mi3 does not pack microSD card slot for memory expansion.

On the positive side, the Mi3 boasts an impressive 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus, dual-LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, as well as secondary 2-megapixel camera in the front.
