If you followed the Xiaomi tablet story, you might know most of the specifications for the tablet, leaked yesterday. There seems to be an intensification of activity regarding this particular product, so today we’re going to be treating you with the first render of the device.

The tablet has been called either the miPad or Mi3S, and we have seen parts of it appear in several photos before, without much information being attached to them.

At some point, it was speculated that the tablet will come bundling a pretty awesome IGZO display, as the technology was getting more and more spread. The slate was also said to have a 7-inch screen and run on a quad-core MediaTek MT8125 CPU clocked at 1.5GHz.

Other sweet specifications included a 13MP camera (capable of recording video in 1080p), but this week all that information has been refuted.

Popular smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi, responsible for revolutionizing the market with its budget offerings that sold out within seconds, is seemingly building a large tablet with an atypical 9.2-inch display. The tablet showed up in the GFXbench database, thus making its specifications public.

So, the first Xiaomi tablet will come bundling a 9.2-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and draws power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 CPU clocked at 1.6GHz fitted with Qualcomm Adreno 305 GPU, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.

Those who hoped to see a 13MP camera on board will have to make do with a 7MP rear snapper and a 1.5MP camera on the back.

The default operating system is going to be Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, but there’s reason to believe Xiaomi will push the Android 4.4 update at some point in the future.

Anyway 1Pad has posted the first render of the tablet and we can see Xiaomi might be taking a colorful approach to its first slate model by gratifying it with a beautiful dark-orange shell. This is definitely a plus for those looking for a tablet that doesn't abide to the bland coloring norm.

Judging by the listing on the Chinese website, the tablet is going to be called Xiaomi Mi Pad One and will probably be marketed with a price-tag of $163 / €119.

The slate was expected to make an appearance last week at MWC 2014, but that didn't happen. Anyway, we suppose not a lot of time will pass until an official announcement is made.
