Yesterday was a big day for popular Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi, which introduced two new phablets – the Mi Note and Mi Note Pro.

The Mi Note Pro is the most powerful of the duo, being the second device with Snapdragon 810 to be officially announced.

But the Mi Note is also pretty interesting in itself. It employs the services of a Snapdragon 801 clocked at 2.5Ghz fitted with 3GB of RAM.

Well, the Xiaomi Mi Note has already been put to the test in AnTuTu benchmark and the results are in (as seen at Giz China).

Xiaomi Mi Note performs quite admirably

Sure, we have to keep in mind that the Mi Note does not take advantage of the latest chipset out there, but given its lower price, it will probably inspire a lot of people.

So, if the Mi Note seemed to be nice enough to you, but you have been wondering how well it fairs out in terms of performance, these results might be make a difference in the your decision-taking process.

The handset scored 46, 714 points in AnTuTu, but it did not come on top. The Meizu MX4 and Samsung Galaxy Note 4 towered over it, with a slightly few more points.

Meizu’s MX4 received the title of most impressive Android smartphone in 2014, title awarded by AnTuTu. The handset scored 47,765 points, so as you can see the gap between the two smartphones is not all that big.

However, the Xiaomi Mi Note managed to over tower other flagship smartphones like the OnePlus One, which interestingly runs on the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC. The Xiaomi phablet also performed better than the HTC One (M8), Huawei Ascend Mate 7 and its own now, previous-gen Mi 4.

We still haven’t seen the results for the Mi Note Pro which should bring about impressive performance, but once the handset makes its way into benchmarks, we’ll let you know.
