Mobicity has just announced it will exclusively offer the Xiaomi Mi-2 Android smartphone in several countries, including Australia and the UK.

One of the best-selling Android phones available on China, the Xiaomi Mi-2 was sold out in minutes after it went on sale in the Mainland.

Today, Ausdroid reports Mobicity scored an exclusivity agreement over the Mi-2’s distribution in some countries.

Customers in the UK will be able to purchase the device for £360/€435/$575 off contract, whereas the Australian version costs $450/€355.

Xiaomi Mi-2 is not yet available outside China, so Mobicity will be the first retailer that brings the smartphone to other countries.

Specs-wise, the device is pretty impressive. It comes with a powerful 1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, which is complemented by an Adreno 320 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.

The phone ships with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system onboard, integrated with the manufacturer’s MIUI user interface.

Another strong point of the phone is the stunning 4.3-inch IPS capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720 x 1280 pixels) resolution.

There’s also an enhanced 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, which features autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording.

The smartphone also packs a secondary 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls. Xiaomi Mi-2 embeds 16GB of internal memory, but no microSD memory card.

It is also worth mentioning that the smartphone comes with a 2000 mAh Li-Ion battery, but customers can also purchase an additional 3,000 Li-Ion battery separately. Other highlights of the phone include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and microUSB connectivity.

Keep in mind that XiaoMi-Mi2 does not come with Google Play Store by default, but owners can download the application via MI’s Market. This will provide access to more than 700,000 apps and games, including Google services.
