There are many sorts of mice on the market nowadays, from big to small and with even strange shapes, but Xebec Tech decided to take things one step further and do away with what is very well the defining trait of mice in general.

Ever since their inception, mice have been known for their two buttons, the left one and right one, each with their respective functions.

Later on, the left click and right click functions got a sibling in the scroll wheel, which let one easily go through any file or web page that takes more space that what the display can show (which is most of them).

Depending on what they are meant for, mice eventually began to get even more unusual shapes and features, like dozens of buttons for MMO games.

What's more, even the form factor began to change, until it was swapped, in some cases, with different ones altogether.

The Ring Mouse from Genius is one example of the sort, and the Xebec Tech M-Touch could very well be seen as another.

Described in detail here, the M-Touch lacks actual buttons, relying solely on touch input for function recognition.

Simple taps one the left/right areas of the touch interface can emulate left clicks and double clicks, while scrolling can be done in any direction by moving a single finger across the surface.

Also, zooming can be done by doing the above while holding down the keyboard's control key.

Finally, by swiping two fingers horizontally, one can go forward and backwards through windows already visited, in browsers.

The 2.4 GHz wireless connectivity technology is used (the operational range is 8 meters), along with a 1000 DPI optical sensor, a nano receiver and a power saving mode, plus an on/off switch, to let the two AAA batteries last for a long time.
