Instead of a double press of the Home button, simply flick upwards

Developer Bill Labus doesn’t like the current multitasking method in iOS 7, so he decided to do a little something about that. He created an interesting Xcode project that proposes a new way to multitask between your apps.

The animated GIF above pretty much sums up the whole shebang, but here’s Labus explaining it:

“Flicking up from the bottom of the edge allows the multitasking app views to be tied directly to the gesture, which allows for direct manipulation and avoids having to wait for a passive animation to complete before interacting with them.”

The concept looks totally doable and Apple would please a lot of users by implementing this major change in the upcoming iOS 8. Those interested in playing around with this concept are welcome to download the Xcode project from Bill Labus.
