It looks like Microsoft plans to release weekly updates for Xbox Video and Xbox Music applications for Windows Phone devices.

Both apps seem to receive updates the same day most of the time, so if you’re getting an update for one, you should expect a new version for the other one to be available soon.

The latest update for Xbox Video does not come with any new features or major improvements like the new version of Xbox Music for Windows Phone.

However, it’s nice that Microsoft is delivering updates to some of its less functional apps for Windows Phone device, which currently seem to be Xbox Music and Xbox Video.

According to the official changelog, here are some of the most important bug fixes that have been included in the latest update for Xbox Video for Windows Phone:

- In some cases rental expiration notifications showed an incorrect countdown; - Some customers saw the error "This content is currently unavailable for streaming. Please download to your device to view." when playing back owned movies or TV episodes.

You can now download Xbox Video for Windows Phone for free via Windows Phone Store. Keep in mind that the application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Windows Phone 8 and up.
