Phil Spencer, the executive leading the Microsoft Studios, suggests that the beta stage for Project Spark might be delivered on the Xbox One as soon as next week, as long as Team Dakota finishes some crucial development tasks.

A Twitter conversation reveals that the studio is at the moment putting the finishing touches on the core mechanics of the concept.

Apparently, there are still a number of bugs that need to be eliminated before Project Spark can be delivered to the public.

The project is described by Microsoft as a set of tools that will allow all users to create, build, share and play community-made content.

Those who want to use Project Spark will be able to use Kinect motion tracking and tablets in order to customize their levels and the best ones will be showcased by Microsoft in an official hub.

It’s unclear how the company plans to choose which gamers will get access to the beta.
