Call of Duty and Battlefield 4 will make up for its absence

Phil Spencer, one of the executives leading the launch process for the Xbox One, says that the new Microsoft home console will sell out in November even if it does not launch alongside Titanfall, the new shooter from Respawn Entertainment.

He is quoted by CVG as saying that, “I like the number of titles we have – we’ve got over 20 titles at launch, and then you start to talk about what’s going to happen in early ’14. The strength of the portfolio all up is something that I really think will be great for Xbox One customers.”

Spencer admits that Titanfall is a killer up, but believes that titles like Forza Motorsport 5, Dead Rising 3, Killer Instinct and the big shooters Call of Duty: Ghosts and Battlefield 4 can make up for its absence.

The shooter from Respawn is at the moment set to be launched in the spring of 2014 on the Xbox One, the 360 and the PC.
