The team at Mad Catz and Microsoft have announced that they are collaborating in order to create a range of new accessories for the coming Xbox One home console that will be launched later in 2013.

Darren Richardson, the president and chief executive officer of Mad Catz Interactive, says that his team is interested in creating innovative products for the new platform, although he was not ready to offer any sort of details.

He is quoted by NationalPost as saying that, “The launch of the Xbox One adds a new revenue stream and the enhanced performance of the Xbox One opens up additional scope for innovation.”

Microsoft has revealed a new controller model for the Xbox One and Mad Catz will probably get access to it in order to create more specialized versions linked to big titles, like Call of Duty: Ghosts.
