Microsoft has issued a brand new statement concerning the Xbox One next-generation console and how it handles used games, saying that the device will support the trade in and resale of titles.

The Xbox One was revealed to the world earlier this week and, while Microsoft talked a bit about the console's used gaming system, it revealed very few details, like the fact that owners with pre-owned titles will have to pay a fee.

Since then, other details have been leaked so Microsoft's Larry Hryb decided to post an official statement on his blog concerning the Xbox One and used gaming.

"The ability to trade in and resell games is important to gamers and to Xbox. Xbox One is designed to support the trade in and resale of games. Reports about our policies for trade in and resale are inaccurate and incomplete. We will disclose more information in the near future," he said.

As such, potential Xbox One owners should wait a few more weeks, probably until E3 2013 in June, in order to find out how the new console deals with pre-owned titles.
