The new version doesn’t come with an official changelog

Microsoft launched the beta program for the Xbox One SmartGlass application about a week ago and the first update has just been pushed to Windows Phone Store.

Unfortunately, developers failed to provide an official changelog for the latest update, so there’s no telling what exactly has been changed.

However, given the fact that it’s just a small incremental update to version 1.0.0.1, we don’t expect the new version to come with any new features.

There’s a high chance that this update brings some necessary bug fixes and some tweaking that Microsoft thought were mandatory.

Those who already have the application installed on their Windows Phone handsets may notice any important changes at first glance, so if you do find anything worth mentioning, please let us know in the comments.

New users who wish to test the new features added to the application before they are made available for the general public can now download Xbox One SmartGlass Beta for Windows Phone for free via Windows Phone Store.

According to Microsoft, the application only works on devices powered by Windows Phone 8 and up. Keep in mind that this a beta build, so there might be some bugs and issues affecting the application.
