The warranty on devices that use it is voided and the hardware might have problems

A modding group called Team Xecuter announces that it has modified the Xbox One in order to allow the Microsoft home console to be controlled using a DualShock 4, which is produced by rival Sony, a mouse and keyboard as on the PC and even a Wii Pro device.

The feat is achieved by using the CronusMAX mod, according to Eurogamer, and it’s unclear whether Microsoft considers this to be a fair use case for the device.

Certainly, warranties are voided when such a device is used and the company might even change software on the Xbox One via a firmware update to eliminate support for other controllers.

The modding group states, “This is perfect for those who love their old 360 controllers, or had a real expensive modded 360 controller and now don't have to worry about buying another. Or want that extra edge by playing with a keyboard and mouse.”
