Phil Spencer, the leader of the Xbox One division at Microsoft, says that the next-generation console from his company is designed to offer three times the computing power of the older 360 right out of the box.

The executive made the statement during an appearance on the late night show that Jimmy Fallon hosts, where the Xbox One was used to play both Forza 5 and Killer Instinct.

Microsoft has already said that the next-gen hardware is designed to also use the power of the cloud in order to increase its own capabilities.

The device is expected to arrive in stores worldwide at some point in November, with a price tag of 499 dollars or Euro.

I managed to get some hands-on time with the Xbox One and Forza 5 during E3 2013.
