A brand new report has appeared with a fresh launch date for the Xbox One next-gen console from Microsoft, as apparently the device is set to be released on November 8.

Sony surprised quite a few people at Gamescom 2013 last week when it revealed that the PlayStation 4 was going to launch on November 15 in North America and on November 29 in the rest of the world.

Meanwhile, Microsoft is sticking to its November release window for the Xbox One.

According to a marketing source, via Kotaku, it seems that Microsoft is now targeting a November 8 release for the Xbox One, one week before the PS4.

Apparently, large retailer Walmart has already started making signs and posters advertising the release date, so it's quite likely that the Xbox One is going to appear before the PS4 in North America at least.
