The Xbox One next-gen console is out in November, according to an employee from Rare, a studio owned by Microsoft.

Microsoft is set to kick off its upcoming E3 2013 Xbox One press conference in just a few minutes, but already one of the biggest announcements may have been spoiled by an employee of Rare, an internal studio owned by Microsoft.

According to an interview with GameTrailers, via DanielKayser, the employee mentioned that the Xbox One is going to appear in November this year.

No exact date was given, but it's a much tighter release frame than the "later this year" estimate given by Microsoft last month.

No other details were mentioned and other release dates have floated around the web before, but this tiny slip-up could be the real deal.

Stay tuned for more official details straight from Microsoft's E3 2013 event today.
