Microsoft has confirmed that its brand new policies concerning used games will mean that the already announced Family game sharing system won't be coming to the Xbox One, as players can just loan their retail discs to others.

The Xbox One generated a controversial debate surrounding its online DRM imposed onto games, whether they were digital or retail, but the system also had some interesting features, such as the Family game sharing, which allowed a game owner to share the title with up to 10 other users.

With the new shift in DRM stance, Microsoft's Marc Whitten has confirmed to Polygon that the ability to share a game online is no longer available, meaning players will have to stick to sharing a retail disc.

This is one of the different tradeoffs that Microsoft outlined after its DRM shift, as the company changed plenty of Xbox One features to accommodate the sudden change.
