After confirming that the Xbox One Kinect voice commands are region-locked, Microsoft has offered some more details about the different languages supported in various territories, as well as a list of certain commands supported by the peripheral.

Each Xbox One is bundled alongside a new and improved Kinect sensor which allows console owners to use their voices and command the device to do all sorts of different things.

Now, ahead of the console's debut on November 22 in 13 countries around the world, Microsoft has just posted a handy little guide concerning voice commands.

“With Kinect voice recognition, you can control and interact with your Xbox One console by using voice commands. To engage your Xbox console, just say ‘Xbox.’ A list of available commands appears on the screen. Then, say any of the commands that appear in the list. For example, say ‘Bing’ to search using Bing,” the company said on its website.

Microsoft also revealed the different languages that will be available in various countries. Bear in mind that, thanks to the region locking, commands in other languages than the native one won't work on that console (for example English orders in Germany or France).

Locale - Language

United States - English United Kingdom - English France - French Germany - German Canada - English/French Australia - English Brazil - Portuguese Mexico - Spanish Italy - Italian Spain – Spanish

The "Xbox On" command will only work in three different languages: English, French, and German.
