Microsoft has confirmed that the Xbox One Kinect sensor cannot see through a person's clothes, in order to alleviate any concerns ahead of the console's debut.

The Xbox One next-gen device is bundled alongside a new and improved Kinect sensor that can detect a lot more details about the person or persons standing in front of it.

After quite a few privacy concerns regarding the always-listening nature of the Kinect, a new cause for worry appeared in recent weeks, saying that the sensor can see through clothes.

Microsoft has stepped up and confirmed to IGN that, "There is no tech magic going on here and Kinect cannot see through clothing."

What's more, not even the special camera modes available to game developers can't detect what's underneath a piece of clothing, so future Xbox One owners shouldn't worry.
